The News about the fire which gut the Christ Embassy church, Lagos on Sunday was a sad one. The fire broke out on Sunday morning inside the Christ Embassy church headquarters in Lagos.

 

Witnesses uploaded several footage of the fire on Sunday morning. There was evidence of fire department personnel near the structure in the form of a fire vehicle.

 

It’s unclear whether those in attendance were inside the church when the fire broke out.

 

How the Fire Gut Christ Embassy Church

The occurrence happened early on Sunday.

 

When eyewitnesses arrived, thick black smoke still rose from the white building. Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service members arrived on the site to put out the fire.

 

To avoid a breakdown of law and order, the area has been blocked off by police. Traffic on the street where the church is situated has temporarily stopped for cars and pedestrians.

 

Worshippers informed Intelwithin that the morning service was immediately shifted to Corner Stone, a church annex, because of the fire.

 

 

A few devotees speculated that the fire might have started from an electrical spark. One of the largest churches in Nigeria is Christ Embassy, which Chris Oyakhilome leads.


Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Declaration

In response to the tragic fire that destroyed the church’s previous headquarters in the Oregun neighborhood of Lagos on Sunday, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the president and founder of Christ Embassy, declared that he would construct a more enormous and more magnificent church edifice.

 

On Sunday morning, a fire destroyed the Love World Convocation Arena, also known as the Christ Embassy in Oregun, part of the Loveworld Nation.

 

In response to the fire at the church’s headquarters, Oyakhilome stated at a Sunday service in Asese that it was not an accident but a chance for more incredible and better things.

 

Lagos State Government’s Take on the Fire Incidence

Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), announced that the enormous fire had been contained, that damping down was continuing, and that monitored property had been salvaged.

 

All crucial parties were participating in the operation. Testing of the building’s materials will be done. He stated that despite claims to the contrary, there were no deaths or wounded.
